Gas Inserts & Stoves

For The Best In Convenience & Comfort, Choose A Gas Insert Or Stove

All work and no play…you know the rest. But with a gas stove or insert, you get all the good stuff without any work at all. You’ll enjoy these benefits:

  • the beauty of dancing flames and burning logs
  • the radiant warmth and comfort of fire
  • the instant relaxation that the entire experience brings

But the biggest difference between a gas appliance and a wood appliance is that with gas, you can have that enjoyment instantly, without any work, and there’s no cleanup or waiting around. Even if you only have a few minutes to unwind, just pick up your remote or walk over to your insert or stove, turn it on, and let the appliance do all the work.

It sounds too good to be true, and in the past it was. Gas logs used to be bulky and fake-looking, and gas appliances were pretty poor heaters. But that’s just not the case anymore. Modern gas inserts and stoves from Regency are unparalleled in every way — beauty, realism, heat output, quality, and convenience. The log sets are even molded from real wood logs and hand-painted for a beautiful, natural-looking appearance.

Many homeowners are choosing to add supplemental warmth to their homes with a gas insert or stove because of these benefits:

  • convenient and easy to use
  • virtually maintenance free
  • always ready to go, without effort or the need to stack or store fuel or add fuel to the fire
  • powerful heaters
  • attractive
  • green & environmentally friendly

And whether you have a traditionally styled space or a modern or contemporary design aesthetic, you’ll find so many beautiful and fitting models to choose from.

Is A Gas Insert The Right Fit Or Should You Enhance Your Home With A Gas Stove?

Gas stoves are all-in-one fireboxes that are freestanding and vented through a stove pipe in the wall or roof. These come in a variety of sizes, so whether you need one that can fit into a small space or you’re looking for a bigger, more powerful heater, a gas stove can be a great fit for you.

Gas inserts are designed to be installed inside of a masonry fireplace. What this means is that a gas insert is the perfect appliance for the homeowner who is tired of their drafty, wasteful fireplace, and wants to convert it to gas, without tearing it out and rebuilding. These appliances can be vented through the existing chimney, so you don’t have to worry about visible stove pipe or anything like that.

Direct-Vent, B-Vent, What’s The Difference?

Direct-vent gas stoves and inserts have two separate pipes in their venting systems — one for bringing in combustion air from the outside and one for removing byproducts to the outside. These appliances can be vented through a wall or through the roof, and the double pipe setup eliminates performance problems related to inadequate intake air, draft, and carbon monoxide. With direct vent, you get a great deal of heat, and none of that heat is lost up the chimney.

B-vent gas stoves and inserts (also called natural vent) uses inside air for combustion and vents byproducts to the outside. These appliances can be vented through the roof, but if you have an airtight home or any competing appliances, you could experience problems with carbon monoxide and inadequate combustion air. Additionally, you can expect to lose some heat from the fire up the chimney.

When shopping for a new appliance, the many choices can be overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to be that way.
